How could the Attorney General argue that the POTUS already has the authority under the Patriot Act to do whatever it takes in the War On Terror if the president said he would be required to get a court order for a wiretap?
Either:
1) He was lying that day, in effect would say anything to get the Patriot Act supported.
2) He was affirming the truth about his authority and knowingly broke the law in respect to domestic spying.
3) He is mentally ill or so stupid he cannot tell the difference.
#1 Should demand at least a censure, and a firing of most of his cabinet.
#2 Well beyond High Crimes and Misdemeanors.
#3 Is there a measure in the articles of Impeachment if the POTUS is mentally incompetent? I reckon that would have come up during the Reagan yrs... If there isn't there should be.

Gee, you seemed to leave out of your post this little factoid:
During the 1990's under President Clinton, the National Security Agency monitored millions of private phone calls placed by U.S. citizens and citizens of other countries under a super secret program code-named Echelon.
Millions - not terror suspects, just innocent people that Clinton wanted to try and find some dirt on.
Now please explain how that compares with a post 9/11 action - approved by the justice system and congressional leaders - against some 500 potential terrorists?
You pro-terrorist liberals would never be worthy of protecting our nation!
Is Bill Clinton President now? I didn't think so. He's not fighting terrorism, GWB is just screwing his enemies and doing some insider training. Your boy was leader and responsible for the worst attack on American soil. If you want to impeach Bill Clinton, have at thee. I am living in the present. Also, I was a big critic of Bill Clinton's. I guess that wouldn't matter to a demagogue like you.
