stop the ANWR drilling
My letter to Senators Burr, Dole, and Congressman Hayes:
Dear Mr, Mrs Senator, (and Congressman Hayes);
If you examine you ranking of approval ratings on SurveyUSA of US Senators, you will note that senators Burr and Dole are south of the top half of the class. Ms Dole is ranked #63 and Mr Burr garnered a pitiful 88th place out of 100.
We are the 12 largest state by population. Voters in North Carolina require better and more ethical service than they are getting. Do not go down the road of moral subterfuge sneaking in legislation to drill in ANWR into a Defense Bill. You KNOW this will only provide a few months worth of fuel and will cause many lifetimes worth of environmental hazard. Do the right thing. Do not support this back-door method of purveying pork to the oil barons. It is unethical and you will be held accountable in coming elections.

I got Senator Dole's office. When I called Richard Burr the lines were busy. That's probably a good sign.
