Message from the Superintendent
In Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools ensuring that students are safe continues to be a priority for the district. Goals 2005 directly address safe and orderly schools, and the district has developed plans and strategies to keep schools safe. Recent media attention and community dialogue have created a heightened sense of awareness to this issue.
Dear Mr Pughsley;
It wasn't the media that created the "heightened state of awareness" it was your own inadequacy to create a safe environment for our kids to attend class.
Furthermore your advice of telling your children, 'Hey chances are you won't get killed at school today...' are less than reassuring. Way to prepare for greatness, Jim. How about you prepare for retirement by resigning? arsehat.

Teachers: Discipline problems and distrust of CMS management curb enthusiasm for Pughsley plan.
